Tell us a little bit about your company. 

Here at California Family Fitness, our mission is to be California’s premier family fitness center.  We are committed to providing members of all ages a fun, friendly environment and promoting a healthy lifestyle through convenient, clean locations with state-of-the-art equipment, programs, and fun activities that provide value to our community.

How do you utilize PFC for your smoothie/shake bar?

We use PFC products in our smoothie bars as an additional amenity for our guests to enjoy, and a revenue source for our company.  Currently, we offer shakes at seven of our locations. 

If there is one thing you could share with someone just starting their own smoothie/shake bar, what would it be?  

We found early on that it was helpful to engage our customers in a dialogue about the benefits of pre and post workout snacks.  A lot of people do not understand the importance of nutrition, so providing nutrition information along with the potential benefits to their bodies helps our customers make an informed decision, and they appreciate that.   

Do you have a favorite marketing tip that you feel helped your smoothie/shake bar to grow or connect with your customers? 

Sampling the smoothies is a big part of that dialogue that we try to engage in with our customers about PFC products. Passing out samples to our members and receiving honest feedback from them has been a great marketing tool.   

What is your favorite smoothie? (Or employee/customer favorite :)) 

My personal favorite shake is “I Love Veggies.”  It has a great flavor.
